Megan's Story

Nakey Bakey was founded by me – Megan – after years of struggling with a nut allergy and a long-term condition called Endometriosis. Eating was painful, frustrating, and honestly… a bit of a minefield. I couldn’t find anything that was actually healthy, allergen-free, and still tasted good.

 

So I started making my own granola in my home kitchen – free from the top 14 allergens, no added sugar, and full of real, natural ingredients that supported my gut health, inflammation and general wellbeing.

 

What started as a personal solution grew into something so much bigger. Nakey Bakey now runs from our dedicated allergen-free production facility in Glenrothes, Fife, where everything is baked with care.

We’ve been recognised with some incredible honours – including the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Award, Scotland Start-Up Awards – Health & Wellbeing Start-Up of the Year, and two Parliament Motions for our work. I’ve also been shortlisted as a finalist in multiple national awards, from small business to innovation and purpose-led categories.

 

And we’re just getting started.

 

Nakey Bakey granola isn’t just granola. You can enjoy it any way you like – with yogurt and fruit, as cereal, baked into your favourite recipes, or warmed up like porridge. We’ve also launched our protein bars at markets, with even more exciting allergen-free products on the way.
